To new habits......

Cannot believe it has been almost a year since I blogged.  I really want to blog more/need to blog more but life is crazy.  Pat is in 1st grade at Collierville Elementary School and obviously that is 5 days a week,

and then Grace

and Michael are at Collierville United Methodist Church PreSchool 5 days a week,

and then on top of that Pat and Grace do dance on Mondays and Thursdays and then Pat plays soccer and scouts and John is working 2 jobs and o yeah mom fell and ruptured her achilees tendon so we have been out a babysitter!  But her surgery went GREAT and she is healing, still cant put any weight on her foot but she is doing much better!!!  But since my mom has not been able to help us out at all my mountain of stuff has piled high!!!  So I am bound and DETERMINED to make some major changes, I have taken up sewing and LOVE it!  It really is such a stress reliever for me and when I am done I have something tangible in my hands and I am very much a reward kind of person!

So I have been trying to craft more and I have discovered Pintrest!!!  LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!  (amazing addictive inspiring)  While on Pinterest I found these amazing nail tattoos and any of you that know me know how I feel about my nails as well as my tattoos!  So tattoos for my nails is right up my ally!!!  I am going to purchase some and I will let you know how they look and last but I am stoked!!!!   Check out her site I think my first purchase will be the henna tattoos!

So all wrapped up in this new habits thing I am working with my silhouette more and I am loving it.  First thing I made was an anniversary banner for my amazing parents.  I think I am going to make our Christmas cards this year too!!!  Well got to get back to work but I am going to update this thing daily!  Wish me luck!!!

Thanksgiving already?!?

I cant believe that it will be Thanksgiving in 2 days.  I cant believe that my baby boy will be 1 in 8 days!!  And that Christmas will bless us in 32 days!  It has been a crazy good year this year.  We have been working on our house like mad men and have done a ton of changes, not so many that you can tell from the outside but I swear we have been changing/fixing things.  We still have a ton to do but isn't that the joy of owning a home.  I am so thankful for the roof over our heads and for my amazing hubby that has been doing all of the work.  I will try and post some before and after pics soon.

We are doing dinner at my mothers again this year, she is amazing, she is hosting dinner for all of us.  It will be a large crazy group, Mom, Dad, Me, John, MD, (Pat and Grace spend Thanksgiving with their dad) my brother Mitchell his adorable girlfriend Missy, my friend Chace and then we have Jamie (Johns mom) and Paul and Crystal and their baby girl Kimberly.  Ed isn't able to come in town which stinks and we will miss him, I hate that he wont be with his wife on Thanksgiving day.  I am so grateful for my marriage and family, we all have our ups and downs but I am grateful that we have such a strong bond that we can withstand anything.

Any one going shopping on Black Friday?  John and I are.  It is kind of our own little tradition, with three kids you have to catch every sale you can.  We are doing Target like always and maybe even Walmart and then I am going to go to Vera Bradley.  I have my list and I am sticking to it this year, I have been really good about shopping over the past few months and getting things as I found them so I wouldn't have a ton to do in December.

I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving!!!

school and crafting

So Pat has been in school one full week now and he LOVES it! Grace went her first half day today at CUMC and was a little skittish because she didn't know her teachers but tomorrow she goes again for a half day and she will have 2 of Pats old teachers and she is so excited!!!!
Pat is in Kindergarten at Collierville Elementary and he couldn't be happier, he gets to ride his bike to and from school and for him that is sooo exciting. I love living this close to the school.
MD is getting huge and I think he is going to skip "crawling" and go straight to walking, he does the army scoot but his fav thing right now is to hang on to the coffee table and walk around. He is growing so much it is scary!!
Also I have decided to get back into crafting and that makes me so happy! With John home at night now we are able to split parenting duties which gives me a little me time and I couldnt be more grateful! I have bought a couple pdf's off etsy and have started making magnets and Grace Anne has been helping and I love the way they have turned out so far! If you get a chance please go check out http://www.thedigibutterfly.com/ or their etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/thedigibutterfly  they have some SUPER cute stuff!!! and their blog is WONDERFUL!!! As I start making more things I will start posting them! Thanks and I hope yall have a GREAT week!!!!

beach

so.. i havent updated this in what seems like months, o wait it has been months : ) between the kids and work and home renovations I feel like I am always running. We are so ready for the kids to start back with school, Pat is ECSTATIC and driving us crazy always asking "when do I go to school" and Grace well she doesn't realize she wont have the same teachers and that is throwing her for a major loop and well MD yeah well he will have quiet during the day with the other 2 at school so we will see how that goes.

This weekend P & G are in their Uncle Justins wedding and they couldnt be more excited. Grace loves putting on a pretty dress and being center of attention, plus their "Cottie" (grandmother) got her a tiara to where so she is happy to look like a Princess. I cant wait to see pictures. I am happy for Justin and Marla I am excited for them to experience marriage and I think they will be pros at it. I dont really know Marla well but I know Justin and I know he is ready, ready to be a husband ready to make that step. Congrats Justin and Marla and I wish yall the absolute best!!

Also we have decided to plan a family trip to Disney in May of 2011 after Pat and Grace are out of school. It will be me, John, Pat, Grace, Jeremy, Carol, Justin and Marla. So for those of you who dont know who all those people are well me, my husband, 2 of my children, my ex-husband, ex MIL and ex BIL and his new wife. For many people this is ludicrous, for us not so much. We all get along for the most part, there is some bad blood in their some where but I hope it is gone by the time we see Mickey! I am so ready for this vacation!!!! John has never been neither have the kids and neither has Marla. We are planning to do a ton of stuff and I am hoping we can make this a family tradition, but we shall see.

On Wednesday of next week the kids (all 3) John and I are going to load up in the Vue and drive down to Pensacola. We are going to spend a few days on the beach and I couldnt be more thrilled! I need a break, work has gotten more stressful in certain ways and more enjoyable in others but it seems as though the negative out weighs the positive. I am looking for something else, i dont think this is the job for me and one of my bosses and I clash and when we clash it is a **CLASH** so if any of you know of any job openings I would be truly grateful for any sort of direction. But back to the beach, we are going to go to Pensacola and let the kids see the ocean for the first time I hope they enjoy it as much as I do. Well I will be sure to post more often and pictures after we are home. Hope everyone has a safe weekend!!

o my gracious

sorry i haven't updated this more. Life is busy as usual and I feel like I am running like a chicken with my head cut off! Between working Mon-Fri 8 to 5 and then trying to work out every day o and not to mention our laundry room has been under construction which means I have had no washer or dryer. Thank God for my mother who has been watching our kids and doing our laundry and trying to help keep me sane. I went out Wednesday night for a MnM (mommies and margaritas) night which was a BLAST!! It was so nice to sit at a table with ALL grown ups and talk and laugh!

Michael is getting so big! He is lifting his head and laughing and such a happy baby! He loves his brother and sister so much and tolerates all of their madness and running around and squealing and what not. He is eating like the big healthy boy he is.

I have been doing alot of praying and thinking and talking with my amazingly supportive mother and husband and I am trying to make some major changes in my life. I am not 100% happy and it is time to make some changes so I am just trying to figure out where to start. I hope I will be able to update this more. Thank you for reading!!!

Quick Update

Life has been CRAZY lately!!! I am back working full time, John is working the 6-2 shift at the dept. and my sweet sweet mother has been watching my 3 crazy kids in between. Nothing really new going on with us other than Pat had his first "major" surgery on Thursday, he had his adenoids removed and holes in his ear drums to drain the fluid. He is a totally different child now! He is happy and smiley and happy and so sweet, back to his old cuddly self and I love it! MD is HUGE!! He is growing more and more every day and Grace Anne well lets just say Grace Anne is Grace Anne.

We have started on our newest renovation project: my laundry room!!! We have torn the old cabinets out and we are getting ready to lay tile and paint and put in new pretty painted cabinets and I am so excited it is ridiculous! It is the only room in the house that I have been able to COMPLETELY gut and do MY way! I will post pictures soon!

John and I had started going to the gym regularly in January but we got out of the habit cause it was hard to find someone to watch MD so we could go but now that he is 3 months he can go so I am trying to find the motivation again to start going daily. Reading everyones blogs about eating healthy and exercising is really motivating me to get off my ass and get moving! Thank you!!! Well time to go buy my tile and then to dinner and HOPEFULLY the gym this evening.

December BUSY BUSY BUSY

so...... it has been a while since I have posted anything! Life is CRAZY!!! I could have never imagined how hectic life would be with three kids!! It is def a learning experience but we LOVE it!!!

Michael David Tonahill arrived 12-1-2009 at 4:53 pm, 20 1/4 inches long and 7 lbs 5 ounces. It was a very smooth easy delivery. I only had to push 4 times! I was truly blessed!!! I am so grateful that John, my daddy and Jennifer were there for the delivery! I wish some of Johns family had been there but that is a totally different topic that will not be brought up. On the 3rd Carol brought Patrick and Grace Anne up to meet Michael and they instantly bonded with him. They are so sweet and so gentle with "Baby Michael" it is truly amazing!
We baptized Michael on December 24th at Faith Lutheran Church at the 11pm service, which holds a special place in my heart cause that is when my brother Mitchell was baptized, 12/24/1988 at the 11pm service. It was such a blessing to have my parents and brother there as well as Jennifer and Nathan. Jennifer, Mitchell and Nathan are Michaels Godparents, the people that we trust to make sure our son has a religious upbringing if anything were to ever happen to John and I. We are so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives and Michael knows he is blessed to he loves when his Aunt Yenn holds him he just grins like a goon!!!
We had a WONDERFUL Christmas and I hope everyone else did too. We had a quiet New Years at home with Jenn, Danny and all of our wonderful kids! Could not have asked for anything better! I will try and update this more often!
